Job description:

    • Responsibilities and duties:

(a) assist with day-to-day human resources functions for the Vancouver corporate office, and work closely with the human resources teams at Silvercorp Group overseas offices to provide support; respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance;

(b) provide support in conducting full-cycle recruitment, including recruitment, interviews, verifying work-history and references, and tracking of new possible candidates;

(c) maintain all physical and electronic HR and personnel-related records, including payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc. and ensure all employment requirements are met;

(d) provide assistance to prepare and deliver internal communications, gather and analyze data for human resources metrics and reporting, administer and prepare human resources materials; schedule meetings, interviews, HR events etc. and maintain the team’s agenda;

(e) stay abreast of current HR trends and best practices, provide assistance to ensure compliance with all provincial and federal laws and regulations, assist and participate in external and internal regular public company audit process;

(f) provide support on immigration and/or relocation matters; perform orientations, onboarding and update records with new hires;

(g) provide support to optimize organizational structure and develop job band and position profiles;

(h) assist in creating training programs, overseeing and implementing a talent development plan;

(i) provide support to define and clarify role responsibilities, implement and monitor performance assessment programs;

(j) assist in updating and optimizing Company’s compensation plan;

(k) produce and submit reports on general HR activity, and assist in ad-hoc HR projects, such as collection of employee feedback; and

(l) such additional and related duties as may from time to time be assigned, delegated, limited or determined by a senior officer of the Company.

  • Qualifications:
  • A university degree or college diploma in human resources management or a related field, such as business administration, industrial relations, commerce or psychology or completion of a professional development program in human resources administration is required.
  • Highly organized and efficient worker; Good time-management skills and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and follow directions accurately and without hesitation.
  • Excellent collaborator and attentive listener; willing to take initiative and work independently when needed.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and attention to detail.
